WEEK 3 starts and sits!

As we enter Week 3, it's important to start noticing trends, and identify the difference between a short trend and the real deal. It also becomes easier for me to do my job with starts and sits, now having a better idea of player's roles and defensive weakness/strengths.

That being said, let's get into my week three starts and sits!

START - Joshua Kelley (RB) vs CAR

In the last two games, the Carolina Panthers have allowed a total of 243 Rushing Yards and 6 Rushing TDs to running backs! Now, last week against the defending Super Bowl champions, Kelley had 25 Touches and played on 52% of the offensive snaps. Sometimes, it's just that simple.

START - Jerick McKinnon (RB) @ NYG

With the losses of Raheem Mostert, Tevin Coleman, Deebo Samuel, and George Kittle, it leaves a LOT on the table for a guy like McKinnon, who over the last two weeks with Coleman and Mostert IN the lineup has taken 9 touches for 101 Yards and 2 TDs. The low volume is concerning, and for that reason my expectations aren't sky high, but having a soft matchup like the Giants makes him a fine PPR RB2 for Week 3!

START - Darius Slayton (WR) vs SF

Slayton blew up with 28.2 points in week one, and although he did disappear a bit in week two, he did have the 2nd Highest target share on his team with 15.0%. He's now going into week three against a decimated 49ers defense, who will be without (CB) Richard Sherman. Plus with Sterling Shepard and Saquon Barkley out, the Giants will need to pass the ball and Slayton will only see more targets.

Desperate Starts on IG, MVS @ NO, Jordan Reed @ NYG, K.J. Hamler vs TB

SIT - Malcom Brown (RB) @ BUF

After it was announced that Darrell Henderson would see a larger role, Brown saw NOTHING in the passing game. The Bills are a tough defense and even with Cam Akers out, I don't trust Brown to get the job done. Especially, fresh off hand surgery earlier in the week.

SIT - Jerry Jeudy (WR) vs TB

It's not a bad matchup for Jeudy, but it's also not a great one. Although, my concern lies with backup QB Jeff Driskel as well as Jeudy being a true game time decision in a 4:00 (EST) game. There's a chance we won't know Jeudy's game status until after the first round of games start. I like the matchup better for a guy like K.J. Hamler.

SIT - Dalton Schultz (TE) @ SEA

After a VERY surprising week two performance, Schultz is likely going to featured in a lot of lineups this week. But my concern is a very small sample size, as well as the fact that as bad as Jamal Adams and the Seattle defense has been, they have been stern against TEs. Not a confident week three start.

Other Sits on IG; Todd Gurley vs CHI, Devonta Freeman vs SF

Lower Expectations; Kenny Golladay @ ARI, David Johnson @ PIT

BEST OF LUCK, AND MAY FORTUNE BE IN YOUR FAVOR!
