Week 8 waiver wire

QB Stream of the Week

Matthew Stafford

After last week’s dominant, 30+ point performance against the stingy Vikings defense, Matt Stafford has a much easier matchup this week. He plays the Giants, who have allowed the 12th most points to the quarterback position so far this season, and even though they limited Kyler Murray last week, that is because Chase Edmonds went crazy. Personally, I don’t think Ty Johnson will match that performance, leading to a great game from Stafford.

Other Options:

Jacoby Brissett

My stream of the week last week, Brissett take on a Broncos defense that has not been terrible this season, however Brissett only has one game where he does not have 15+ and only has one other game without a 20 bomb.

Kirk Cousins

Over the last two weeks, Washington has played the Josh Rosen and Ryan Fitzpatrick led Dolphins and then proceeded to play the 49ers… in what was very close to a hurricane. Before those last two games, which shouldn’t count, Washington has allowed 32 PPG to the quarterback position

D/ST Stream of the Week

Pittsburgh

I was faked out by the Bills last week, thinking they were a guarenteed 20 point game. But still… it’s the Dolphins. Pittsburgh has quietly been a top defense this season, and coming off a bye, they should shut down the Dolphins “offense”.

Other Streaming Options

Lions D/ST

Daniel Jones quickly went from Danny Dimes back to the guy who was booed at Yankee stadium when throwing the first pitch. Target the team that plays against him, which will be the Lions in this situation.

Top 3 waiver wire pick ups

Ty Johnson

With Kerryon Johnson getting put on IR, you could have a featured back for a run first team sitting on your waiver. Kerryon’s best case scenario is to return week 16, so Ty Johnson, who has been said to be the lead back, becomes an EXTREMELY appealing waiver wire pickup.

Kenny Stills

Kenny Stills is very talented. Will Fuller is suffering a “severe hamstring injury.” Deshaun Watson loves to throw down the field. They play the Raiders, who lead the league in 20+ yard completions allowed. All of these make Kenny Stills a guy who is a must-own in all formats.

Corey Davis

Ryan Tannehill is the savior of this Titans passing game. Plain and simple. You have a guy who finally wants to throw the ball downfield, and Corey Davis is returning immediate value from the switch. Although not leading the team in targets, he was Tannehill’s first read on all passing plays, and clearly is the number one target.

Probably owned, but need to be rostered:

Chase Edmonds

Latavius Murray

Marquez Valdes-Scantling

Marvin Jones
