WEEK 9 STARTS AND SITS!

Week 9 Starts/Sits, let’s get it!

START ✅ Chase Edmonds vs MIA

This is may not need much of an explanation. Edmonds was already seeing healthy volume as a pass catcher, and with Kenyan Drake out, Edmonds is expected to be the team’s primary ball carrier as well. RB2 play this week.

START ✅ Damien Harris @ NYJ*

*This depends on the status of Sony Michel who is at the moment unlikely to play. But overall game script should be in the favor of Harris and he’s coming off a fantastic week 8 showing.

START ✅ Antonio Gibson vs NYG

We’ve already seen two examples of rookie RBs coming off a bye with D’Andre Swift and J.K. Dobbins. The last time Gibson played he ran for over 120 yards and saw a career high in touches. Expect him to see an even bigger role as the year progresses.

START ✅ Sterling Shepard @ WAS

Shepard is coming off a 10 Target game and has clearly been the favorite for Daniel Jones so far. The Washington Secondary is nothing to be afraid of, and Golden Tate being bench can only mean addition targets.

START ✅ Diontae Johnson @ DAL

In the four healthy games DJ has played, he’s averaged of 10 Targets a game. If you remove last week where he was covered by Marlon Humphrey and didn’t practice earlier in the week, Johnson averaged 12.7 Targets per game. Expecting a bounce back here and Dallas has one of the worst secondaries in the league.

Desperate Starts! ✅

- Antonio Brown vs NO; He’s expected to be on a snap count in his Bucs debut, but AB is still a generational WR, and even if he sees 2-3 Targets, it could turn into 10+ fantasy points. If you are in a tight spot this week, AB isn’t a bad option.

- Deejay Dallas @ BUF; Last week, Dallas was the defacto workhorse for the Hawks. But Seattle now has a healthy Travis Homer as well as a familiar face with Alex Collins. There’s no guarantee he gets the 20+ touches and 79% snap count again, but the matchup is good and if he is the lead down he could get points yet again!

SIT ❌ DeVante Parker @ ARI

Tua Tagovailoa didn’t need to do much in the passing game last week, but he didn’t do much to impress. He’s still got a ton of time to

Come around, but Preston Williams out-targeted Parker by a decent amount and Parker is going to be facing a potential Patrick Peterson shadow.

SIT ❌ Ronald Jones II vs NO

Rojo was starting to look like a true franchise RB, then he only had 24% of the offensive snaps against the Giants and has truly taken the backseat. I don’t trust Rojo anymore, and especially not in a game where Brady will air it out.

SIT ❌ Jonathan Taylor vs BAL

Not only am I just concerned about how he’s looked, but I’m also concerned by the Colts playing Jordan Wilkins and Nyheim Hines over him. The matchup on top of it just makes me want to throw him on the bench for the time being. If you are in a tough spot it’s understandable to keep him in, but if you can afford to bench him, I would.

SIT ❌ Marquise Brown @ IND

Indy has been one of the better teams in terms of passing yards allowed per game, and there’s been nothing encouraging about Brown’s production to get me to throw him in my lineup again.

SIT ❌ D.J. Moore @ KC

Teddy B got banged up last week, but he hasn’t looked great as of late. I have my concerns for Moore who has been hot and cold. Matchup isn’t great either.

Lower Expectations! ❌

- Jamison Crowder vs NE; Sam Darnold is out this week, and with Joe Flacco at QB it could be any one of Mims, Perriman, or Crowder who sees the most targets. Plus coming off injury.

- Tony Pollard vs PIT; Ezekiel Elliot is likely going to miss this game, which leaves Pollard to a workhorse role with a QB coming off another teams practice squad, a banged up OL, against the best defense in the NFL. If you are in a PPR league he could get 10-15 points, but don’t expect a huge game from him.
